Risk Intelligence was awarded the prize at Devoteam’s ESDH/ECM conference on 26 November, 2020. Devoteam’s award team motivated their choice of Risk Intelligence by stating:

"Risk Intelligence is awarded the prize on the basis of their visionary implementation of ECM, where a completely unique use of metadata plays a central role. RI has used artificial intelligence (AI) in the implementation, and has ambitious plans for further use of AI."

The implementation of the M-Files ECM solution marked an important milestone in Risk Intelligence’s data strategy. Streamlining access to data across teams company-wide ensures fast access to relevant information, expanding team knowledge to collective assets. Time is critical to Risk Intelligence’s analysts and consultants, who need to deliver up-to-date, valid and actionable intelligence to 14,7% of the maritime world fleet, many of whom operate in high-risk areas.

Implementing AI and machine learning across all data points also adds significant extra scalability to Risk Intelligence’s core product, the Risk Intelligence System. Analysts working on the LandRisk module of the System have already demonstrated time-savings of more than 1,300 working hours per year. When employed on across all three Risk Intelligence System modules, MaRisk, PortRisk and LandRisk, the AI and machine learning solution will have contributed significantly to both scalability, cost savings, and enhanced data and product quality. 

The Risk Intelligence System

The Risk Intelligence System is a digital security intelligence solution developed in close collaboration with global businesses that are established within the fields of shipping, offshore, oil and gas. The digital platform is designed on the basis of insights directly from customers and their needs as well as Risk Intelligence’s experienced security risk analysts and developers’ knowledge of intelligence and assessment needs.

The Risk Intelligence System offers customers a complete picture of immediate, short- and medium-term security risks for coastal areas, ocean, port and landside threats. The analysis is focused on insurgency, piracy, organised crime, activism, terrorism, military conflicts and any interplay between these. Risk Intelligence identifies where serious events arise and presents an assessment of how great the threat is in each area. This enables companies to evaluate both current and future security risks in real time to minimise risks across their operations.

Licences provide strong recurring revenue

The license agreement provides access to the Risk Intelligence System (MaRisk+PortRisk) through a subscription, paid for twelve months at a time, in advance. Variables of the Risk Intelligence System license agreements are number of system users and standard reports included. The Risk Intelligence System license agreements create recurring revenue with a renewal rate of 98-100% (churn of 0-2%) and generates strong cash flow for the Company.
