Photocat, which manufactures photocatalytic products, has acquired a portfolio of CMA-based de-icing assets from Alumichem for an amount in the low single-digit millions of Danish kroner, including full IP and commercial rights as of November 28. In an update for the coming year, Photocat writes that it expects initial sales of around 1 million Danish kroner. "The future growth potential will depend on the end product's performance, the degree of acceptance, and the development of the regulatory framework." The deal strengthens the company's Ice & Dust Away range and broadens the offering in environmentally responsible winter road solutions, writes Photocat. The remaining development and documentation work is expected to be completed in early 2026."The first market dialogues indicate that there is a clear opportunity in the segment for a reliable, environmentally friendly de-icing agent with performance characteristics that match Ice & Dust Away," writes the company in a comment.
