Ramlösa Shipping has issued a clarification regarding the previously communicated sale of 51 percent of the ownership in the container vessel Perseus.The company states in a release that the buyer, the Danish limited partnership K/S Capito Maritime 1, was used solely as an administrative and transactional tool.At the time of the transaction, the limited partnership was wholly owned by Capito Capital Management, which was owned 40 percent by Ramlösa and 60 percent by the company's CEO, Stefan Norrsell.According to Ramlösa, Capito Management identified external investors who, on market terms, took over ownership after the transaction was completed.Capito Management has thereafter had no ownership in the vessel. The transaction was assessed to have taken place on market terms, it says. Using limited partnerships as a structuring tool is described as customary in the industry.
