The family-owned company Bergholm Fritidsfordon will shortly take its place on Spotlight Stock Market and ring the opening bell on Thursday. The company is profitable and is looking ahead to continued growth, supported by strong market demand.- It has been a good journey, but there is reassurance in being listed and it is good to have more owners, says CEO Lars Bergholm, and adds:- We will also gain access to the capital market, which facilitates our future growth.Last year, Bergholm Fritidsfordon grew by 43.9 percent and the group generated revenue of SEK 586 million. Operating profit amounted to SEK 21 million, down from SEK 23 million the year before, corresponding to a margin of 3.6 percent. The Värmland-based company imports and distributes motorhomes from European manufacturers. Its partners include Knaus and Weinsberg, as well as Italian manufacturers. The company competes with players such as Kabe and Adria and had a market share of 15 percent of motorhomes sold. The business was founded by Lars Bergholm's father.Bergholm highlights its role as a distributor with established brands as a competitive advantage, where relationships with both manufacturers and dealers are central. The company also points to a scalable business model, where higher volumes can be handled without a corresponding increase in the cost base.- We have very strong demand. Outdoor recreation and the flexibility that motorhomes offer continue to attract buyers, says Lars Bergholm.Raises SEK 22 million in new capitalIn connection with the listing, the company is raising a total of SEK 22 million in an oversubscribed offering. The subscription price was SEK 11 per share. With a total of 14.42 million shares, the company is valued at SEK 159 million after the listing. The new capital will be used for continued expansion. Sales are conducted through dealers, not directly to consumers. Today the company has 27 dealers, a number that is expected to increase.- Geographically, there are several places where we want to strengthen our presence, and we are aiming to work with around 30 dealers. The important thing is that we find the right partners. We shall be the best and also work with the best, says Lars Bergholm. At present, the company sees no need to broaden its range of models, as demand is strong from existing suppliers. At the same time, collision repair is an area where the ambition is to grow as opportunities arise.Strong roots in KristinehamnThe company is headquartered in Kristinehamn, a town with a long tradition in recreational vehicles. Albin Motor was founded here, and this was also the base of the now-bankrupt caravan manufacturer Cabby.- Kristinehamn has been very good for our journey. There has been a lot of expertise around our areas here, says Lars Bergholm.Owners remainLars Bergholm is not selling any shares in connection with the listing and has entered into a lock-up. Among the owners is also Entreprenörsvärden, which is half-owned by Transtema's founder Magnus Johansson. Johansson has previously made a similar journey, where Transtema was first listed on Spotlight and today is traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.Entreprenörsvärden's second-largest owner is Göran Nordlund, an entrepreneur and investor with 25 years of experience, who has previously helped build several companies on Spotlight, several of which are now listed on the main market in Stockholm.
