Exploration company Lappland Gold Exploration is starting core drilling of approximately 700 meters at Gilleberget in Ljusdal Municipality, according to a press release.At the same time, a previous drilling program in Lycksele has been completed and assay results are expected before summer 2026. Both programs are financed by a share issue of approximately SEK 30 million carried out in February, where most of the capital was allocated to continued resource development."We are drilling in Gilleberget to test a geological hypothesis. Historical data show interesting grades, but they have not been verified and cover a limited area. Three drill holes are testing the hypothesis. Regardless of the outcome, they give us data that will guide the next exploration decision. At Löparen, we expanded from 64 to 70 holes, a decision we made in the field based on what we observed during the program," comments CEO Fredrik Johansson.
