Finwire about Absolicon Solar Collector AB: Absolicon: The Swedish Energy Agency extends RESILIENT initiative

The solar energy company Absolicon is participating in the competence center RESILIENT, which has been granted an additional SEK 72.5 million from the Swedish Energy Agency for the period 2027–2031. The initiative focuses on research into robust and fossil-free energy systems with increased energy security and flexibility.Absolicon will contribute research on large-scale solar thermal, thermal storage and integration of solar thermal in district heating and industrial energy systems. The company is co-financing the project with approximately SEK 2.5 million, which together with external funding enables research efforts corresponding to approximately SEK 7.5 million through 2031.- Sweden and Europe are facing a major transformation of the energy system where both the climate transition and energy security must be addressed at the same time. For Absolicon, RESILIENT is an important platform for developing and demonstrating how solar thermal, thermal storage and smart control can contribute to a more robust energy system, says Absolicon's CEO Joakim Byström in a comment.
