Danish installation company Mendole reported an increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the same period the year before. At the same time, results deteriorated markedly due to difficult winter conditions, rising material costs and postponed projects.Revenue rose 9.2 percent to 28.8 million Danish kroner (26.4). Ebitda amounted to -2.3 million kroner (0.1), while operating profit was -2.9 million kroner (-0.3).Profit before tax deteriorated to -3.7 million kroner (-1.1). Net profit amounted to -3.0 million kroner (-0.9). Earnings per share were -0.56 Danish kroner (-0.16).The company says that harsh winter weather and rising prices, especially for roofing materials, pressured margins during the quarter.Mendole reiterates its full-year forecast for 2026 and expects continued revenue of 125-155 million Danish kroner and ebitda of 6-8 million kroner."The fundamental structural drivers behind our industry - an aging building stock, stricter legal requirements and fragmented competition - remain.
