Finwire about Miris Holding AB: Study strengthens support for HMA in neonatal care according to Miris

Milk analysis company Miris states that a new study in the journal Clinical and Experimental Pediatrics strengthens the evidence for the use of the company’s analysis instrument HMA in neonatal care. The study shows that analysis of breast milk can contribute to improved nutrition and growth in premature children. The study was conducted in Bangkok and included 200 breast milk samples from mothers of 121 premature children born before week 34 of pregnancy. The researchers found clear links between protein and fat intake and weight gain, as well as that standardized reference values risked overestimating protein intake. The researchers conclude that HMA-based methods should be used to optimize nutritional treatment for premature children.
