Finwire about Lappland Guldprospektering AB (publ): Lappland Guldprospektering finds gold in one of four drill holes at Nya Gilleberget - CEO: result better than expected

Exploration company Lappland Guldprospektering has completed its final report on the spring drilling program at Nya Gilleberget in Ljusdal Municipality. Gold was found in one of four diamond drill holes. The three remaining holes contained no continuous gold-bearing interval, with a highest individual assay value of 0.64 grams of gold per tonne. The previously reported zone of 28.05 metres grading 2.30 grams of gold per tonne remains open and has not been delineated. The company therefore plans two new diamond drill holes totalling 600 metres during the autumn. Eleven gold-bearing boulders have also been found at the southeastern target, the richest of which contained 10.4 grams of gold per tonne."We drilled four holes targeting two targets and obtained a broad gold intercept in one of the drill holes, 28 metres in the drill core. This was a better outcome than we expected. What also interests me is the boulders in the southeastern area, as they point back toward bedrock we have not yet investigated. It is an interesting lead to follow, and we now know both where to look next and where not to look. We have decided to conduct a drilling program in the autumn. We plan two new drill holes, totalling 600 metres, and the first will provide us with information some distance from the gold intercept. Stortjärnhobben remains the Company's main project," says Lappland Guldprospektering CEO Fredrik Johansson in a comment. The results are exploration results and do not constitute a mineral resource estimate.
