Medical technology company Pexa's technology is used in three scientific papers that have been accepted for presentation at the ERS International Congress, which is being held in Barcelona from September 5 to 9. This is stated in a press release.Two of the papers concern pulmonary fibrosis. Researchers at, among others, Amsterdam UMC are studying the technology to identify biomarkers and risk factors, while a study from Sahlgrenska and the University of Gothenburg shows that material collected using Pexa can distinguish patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis from healthy individuals.The third paper, from Germany's Fraunhofer ITEM, concerns COPD and shows associations between biomarkers, disease severity and lung function, it further states.
