Nanotechnology company Smoltek has begun the search for a permanent CEO. Interim CEO Oskar Säfström identifies commercialization, industrial scale-up and financial discipline as key elements of the requirements profile.Säfström took over as interim CEO on September 1 after Magnus Andersson's consultancy agreement expired. In connection with the change, board member Emma Rönnmark took over as chair of the board.The recruitment process is now under way, but the company is not setting a deadline for when a permanent solution is to be in place.- The aim is to have a permanent CEO in place as soon as possible, but we are putting the right expertise before speed, says Oskar Säfström.During the transition period, the operating business is secure, according to Säfström. As part of the expanded management structure, CFO Gabriel Altby has been given an expanded mandate and also taken on the role of chief operating officer.- The business is progressing according to plan with our expanded management structure.The requirements profile is being shaped by the phase Smoltek is currently in. The company is in an intensive commercialization phase, focusing on reaching the market under strict financial discipline.- We are looking for a leader with extensive experience in taking industrial innovation from the laboratory environment to customer agreements and revenue.Smoltek is also seeking experience in industrial scale-up, including building processes and supply chains and meeting the quality requirements of global technology customers.The third part of the requirements profile is a clear financial focus.- Strong drive for cost control and the ability to lead the business based on business-driven, commercial milestones are required, says Oskar Säfström.
