The research company Carbiotix is accelerating the timeline for its JCDA project with a leading global date producer, shortening the planned 6-month project to about 3 months, according to a press release. The fiber- and protein-rich extract from date waste will be showcased at the Gulfood food fair in Dubai in January and a decision to build the first production facility is expected during the first quarter of 2026. The company states that full production could generate an annual gross profit of over SEK 15 million and that the project pipeline is being broadened ahead of the voluntary delisting from Spotlight.
