The technology company Opsy welcomes the decision by Konkurrensverket on March 19, which means that the market for intermediation of insurance medical advisory services in Sweden is opened to genuine competition. Konkurrensverket has determined that exclusivity clauses that have prevented insurance medical advisors from taking assignments with competing operators constitute an abuse of a dominant position in breach of the Competition Act and EU competition rules.The clauses shall cease to be applied immediately starting on the decision date of March 19, and the affected advisors shall also receive written confirmation of this from their principal. Otherwise, a further fine of SEK 30 million awaits. - This decision is good for the entire industry.
