The Med-Tech company PolarCool AB (publ.) announces that it has entered into a three-year multi-unit agreement with English Premier League club Sunderland AFC. The club will integrate PolarCap® systems into all three of their elite team’s matchday and training environments to strengthen the club’s concussion management.

Sunderland AFC is a new customer and has chosen to utilize PolarCap® in all of its elite teams in their medical routines for treating players following concussions. A multi-unit agreement provides greater flexibility to ensure access to the treatment for all teams at the same time.

Elite football remains a strategically important and rapidly expanding market for PolarCool. Head injuries and concussions continue to present significant challenges for players, clubs, and governing bodies – resulting in lost playing time, long term health risks, and substantial financial impact. As awareness of PolarCap® grows and the ability to mitigate the effects of head injuries becomes more recognized, PolarCool is experiencing rising interest from leading European clubs across multiple leagues.
