The solar energy company Absolicon has a large project that has reached the final stage in an application process. If the project is approved, it will entail the installation of a fully financed pilot plant. This is stated in a press release. A specific project application to construct pilot plants was submitted in summer 2025 together with companies that have various technologies for heat production. The project has now reached the final step in the process in competition with other projects. Within the project, Absolicon is responsible for the construction of a solar thermal field in a partner country. The value of the work and the solar collectors in the application is SEK 9 million, which would finance all of Absolicon's material costs and labor.The project is conditional, among other things, on no appeals being received and on the co-financing in the project being confirmed, which may be challenging. If the project gets underway, it will run for 18 months. This means that construction of the solar collector field must promptly begin in spring 2026.
