(adds the second paragraph about order value)The investment company Renewable Ventures announces that the planned reverse acquisition target Xer Tech, which is active in defense tech, has received an order from DelMar Aerospace Corporation for an X8 drone system after three months of successful field tests in Canada. The order comprises the commercial version of the X8 without payloads and amounts to approximately SEK 1.4 million.During the test period, the drone was used for methane leak detection and inspection of oil and gas infrastructure. The deal includes the drone, a spare engine, and a long-range antenna."Perspectum and DelMar are ideal partners to demonstrate the X8's capabilities in some of the most demanding real-world environments. This deal confirms our shared commitment to provide next-generation tools for airborne inspections to operators who require reliability, endurance, and flexibility in payloads," says Xer Tech's CEO Erik Herlyn in a comment. Xer Tech and DelMar are now exploring new multi-sensor configurations aimed at supporting more advanced missions for methane leak detection and enabling additional inspection tasks within a single flight. Furthermore, new Canadian regulatory updates mean that virtually any certified pilot can now fly the X8 system, which significantly lowers the barriers to adoption.
