Finwire om Lappland Guldprospektering AB (publ): Lappland Guldprospektering still aims to submit the trial mining application before the end of the year - CEO

The exploration company Lappland Guldprospektering announced this morning that the company has secured at least 4.6 tonnes of gold in its Stortjärnhobben deposit. The resource comprises 2.65 million tonnes of rock with an average grade of 1.73 grams of gold per tonne and is classified as inferred. The company sees potential for expansion and plans further drilling. The plan is still to submit the application for the trial mining before the end of the year, and the company's hope is to receive a response before the autumn. This is according to CEO Fredrik Johansson in a comment to Finwire. The drilling program that the company has launched is in full swing, he says. In total, approximately 2,000 meters are to be drilled, and the work is expected to continue into the later part of spring. The goal is to expand the resource before next summer. When Lappland Guldprospektering eventually starts extracting the gold, the work will initially take place via an open pit since the mineralization extends all the way to the surface, according to Johansson, who also points out that it is significantly cheaper to get started in the early stage. In the longer term, however, mining is expected to take place underground.
