(Stockholm 19 July 2022) ISAB has submitted an abstract to present data from its study validating PreciseInhale for clinical use, at the Drug Delivery to the Lungs (DDL) conference 2022 in Edinburgh, Scotland. The data demonstrate that PreciseInhale® outperformed standard commercial inhalers and improved ‘regional targeting’ of aerosols to specific areas of the lungs. DDL is one of the inhalation markets’ most influential events, with all major companies within the industry set to be present onsite, for the first time post-pandemic.
At DDL 2022, 7- 9 December in Edinburgh, Scotland, Inhalation Sciences AB (ISAB) aims to present, for the first time, the data from its landmark study validating PreciseInhale® for clinical use. ISAB has now submitted an abstract of the data, that demonstrate that controlled, precision dosing of human subjects via PreciseInhale® outperformed aerosol dosing carried out with a standard commercial inhaler – decreasing throat deposition, decreasing standard deviation in its PK data and improving targeting of aerosols to specified major regions of the respiratory tract. Twelve healthy volunteers took part in the clinical Study into PreciseInhale®, ISAB’s precision dosing aerosol system. Clinical validation, which has been a long-term strategic goal for ISAB, makes PreciseInhale® the first aerosol generating system that can be used from drug discovery, through preclinical studies into first use in humans, reducing risk and translational errors throughout the drug development journey. This will, once again, show the enormous potential of ISAB’s technology beyond the preclinical market with an estimated market value of 5 billion SEK.
